I bought this for my wife to use on a recent cooler-weather (well, cooler than she's used to) camping trip. She loved the soft fleece and it kept her plenty warm as a liner inside a 20-degree sleeping bag (it was in the low 40s). It's basically a really big fleece throw with a zipper, so if you already have one of those, you don't NEED this. However, for the price, it's good to have as a dedicated piece of camping gear.UPDATE: Having used these a bunch more, I've found that in warmer weather (say, 60 degrees & above) or indoors, these are just right. I just got back from a half week of scout camp with my son where it was in the high 50s/low 60s at night with around 70-80% humidity. I thought I'd roast in this bag, but it was absolutely perfect. Not very cushiony, so you'd want to use a pad or mat (or at least another regular sleeping bag) underneath it. The camp we went to has army-type cots and I used a thermarest z-fold pad on top of that, then the fleece bag. This little guy is a GREAT bang for the buck. I'm big on camping and backpacking and I buy my gear to be cost-effective and versatile. I love that this is machine washable, too. I just took it with me beach camping at Assateague Island and it was perfect in lieu of a sleeping bag (the night was probably in the high 60's or low 70's). I also love that the fleece fabric is pliable and makes sleeping less constricted. When it gets cold again, I'll use this as a layering piece with my winter sleeping bag and that will 1) give me some extra warmth that I need, and 2) will help keep my sleeping bag nice and clean because I can just toss this in the washer when I get home and my sleeping bag will remain pristine on the inside. You can also unzip the whole thing and use it as a blanket. It rolls up to be a little bigger than a Nalgene water bottle and is super light to carry. Don't want to drop a ton of cash on solid camping gear? Get this!I love this thin fleece sleeping bag. It is versatile, it unzips completely and can be used as a blanket, I've owned several fleece sleeping bags and this is the 1st one that unzips fully.I've taken to using this to sleep on top my covers since I only require a thin blanket unless the temp drops below 40 degrees. Lots of time being saved when it comes to having to make my bed in the morning or rather not having to make it.Light, warm, attractive and fully unzips. Those are the good points. I use it in the bedroom and not in the forest and I am growing weary of the continual pilling this fleece exhibits. The fleece furballs are the same size as rodent dung and are continually falling off the bag onto the sheets and floor. If you don't mind continual cleanups (daily) then it's a decent light bag. I've told you what it looks like on the floor/rug if you don't clean it up daily.Very light, material reminds me of an airline blanket. These do NOT zip together! Bought two and tried multiple times with no luck. Because of that, we placed one over and one under. I was hit in the face repeatedly by the zipper every time I moved or had the "cover" pulled off me during the night. Not good for that purpose, only for zipping up with one person each.I have two of these and use them for extra warmth while camping. I slide each big sleeping bag inside these thin bags and not only do they provide nice insulation, but they keep any other blankets I might put on top of the bag from sliding off onto the ground. Awesome.Kind of thin. Used as a liner for main sleeping bag and it helped a little but it was so cold we needed much lower rated bags than we had.Ok 1st this doesn't look like any of the other fleece blankets I have and that's why I gave it 3 stars. 2nd it's just not as soft as my other fleece blankets either. Feels more like felt to me. 3rd I do love the color. Also it arrived on time and does look like the picture shows it to look.
